How well do we “Do Difficult”?

Among us believers, we like to say that God allows these situation because “We Can Do Hard  (or “difficult” depending on the group), meaning that we know this life is not easy and when we triumph it is because Our Lord’s strength runs through us. But sometimes, like me over the last 24 hours, We Believers forget that this means that we have to surrender our problems and situations to Him.

… sometimes We Believers forget that “We CAN DO hard” means that we have to surrender our problems and situations to Him.

*I* did not do that.. In fact up until about an hour  ago I was still *ticked* off from yesterday.

I had a VERY bad day yesterday. I reacted to a lot of stuff, and I  made very bad choices to take things personally and not letting God deal with the big stuff. It was all pride driven, I was not as important as I expected I should be.

The short version is that I was excluded from some very serious decisions that affect my future, then insulted, then some other stuff went on that basically put the topper on my otherwise ugly day. I did not handle my challenges very well. I was a butt-head and not very nice. In the process I made statements and decisions  that affected others, including my family, without their input…

For those of you who don’t know the entire scenario, It is not important.  What is important is that WE ALL FALL DOWN. That (is the) way we learn how to stand back up, and remember that we don’t have to stand alone… Ever…    Life, does not need to be as hard as we all make it, including (and especially) me…

For those of you who don’t know the entire scenario, It is not important. What is important is that WE ALL FALL DOWN.

I am a writer. That is what I do and generally do well. Not my job, but It is how I cope with the insanity I call a brain. It is the primary way I have to organize my thoughts, and my best way of communicating. Those of you who read my blog or have been in my classes know this about me. So for those who do follow me on Facebook  read my blog or otherwise listen to me rant when I have REALLY bad days. I apologize. I am sorry for being so wrapped up that I forgot that I am in a position of Servant Leadership. I am not here for ME. I am here for Him first, them (and you) second and me last. I KNOW that my path is to trust him with everything I am and the rest comes as it comes.

Prov 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge (and rely on) Him and He will keep your path right.”

In addition, I want to offer a prayer to the friends and family of  our former tax guy “Jim”.  His passing was unexpected and we pray for your comfort.

I also offer up prayers for the Boston Runners and their families.

Thank you everyone, for reading, listening, and putting some level of trust in me over the long haul. I know I am not the easiest horse to bet on…

All our Love and may God bless you…

May Jesus have His way with your day
