BibleCounts update.

Good news, for everyone, especially me.

We have made some leaps on the new BibleCounts.com website. By tomorrow we will start placing the basic design of the core site. This includes the registration, user tracking. etc.

Over the next month we will start integrating the core BibleCounts quiz/testing and scoring systems as well as the point tracking system.
The initial test design for ages 5-12 will be updated first. We have Mathew through Luke completed and will expand those quizzes as we get response from our users and testers.

So far, Preston, Debbie and I have created the entirety of the content. Mostly through our own family devotional time. We are doing this in our free time, as a family, so please, be patient. I have developed the core site code by modifying a WordPress back-end and adding tying in an education/training engine. So my frustration level has been a little high as I combat bugs, design issues etc.. However,  as we accomplish more and more,  I get excited and with the Grace of God this will be completely worth it as it grows in popularity.

We will happily accept help in the form of comments, encouragement, prayer, other programmers or even data-entry as we need to get quiz data entered. Our current method (to make it easier for those that are familiar with basic office computing) is to enter the questions, answers, and Scripture reference into a spreadsheet. That data is then imported into our SQL database for site consumption. Also if you wish to contribute Quiz content, I am sure other passes through The Bible by others will undoubtedly create new question/answer combinations that could be used for expanding the tests.

Thank you for taking the time to catch up.  I welcome your comments and conversation.

Great work. we can customize almost everything. Now if we can get that Bible reference plugin working we would be ready to fly. 🙂

I just left a position lieadng at a church of 10,000 that’s celebrating 20 years this year and took a position at a church not quite 3 years old and a whole lot less people. I’ve led for thousands on a weekend and on Monday night led for 10 at my parenting small group. Leaders who think they belong on the big stages are a direct result of the press of big churches. The list that say who the biggest, fastest growing, or most influential churches in America are destroying the cultivation of authentic worship leaders who long for the audience of one. Instead these list and other similar press are breeding rock-stars longing for the big crowds. If you struggle with longings such as these I would tell you to stop going to conferences and watching other churches online and take a season of focusing on the Lord and grabbing inspiration from Him.
